# Work Experience
Work experience is the section where you list jobs, most recent first. For each role: company, title, dates, and three to five bullets on what you did and achieved. Recruiters and ATS spend the most time here.
## Deeper Context

Format: Company -- Title -- Dates, then bullets starting with action verbs. Include tools and metrics when possible: "Built analytics dashboard in React; cut manual reporting time 60% for a 15-person team." Condense older or less relevant roles. Brief employment gaps rarely need explanation on the resume; address longer gaps in a note or interview if needed. ATS extracts employer, title, dates, then scans bullets for keywords--mirror language from the job description in recent roles.

## FAQ

### How far back should work experience go?

Often 10-15 years with full detail on the last two or three roles. Keep older entries only when highly relevant.

### How many bullets per job?

Three to five for recent roles; one or two--or title and dates only--for older positions that matter less to your target job.
